Product Description:

The MIC20 Remote Terminal is a small, painted sheet metal box measuring 4.0″ deep x 5.0″ wide x 2.5″ tall (102 mm x127 mm x 63.5 mm) and weighing less than two pounds. It is compact enough to be hand held and stable enough to be used on the bench. It contains a control PC board, batteries, backlit sixteen character, two-line alphanumeric display, and three-key membrane switch that is used to set all functions. It is designed for use with the Torrey Pines Scientific, Inc.® Models RIC20 Remote Controlled Chilling/Heating Dry Bath or the RHB20 Remote Controlled Heating Dry Bath. A straight through RS232 cable is connected from the back of the MIC20 unit to the RS232 connector on either the RIC20 or RHB20 units. Both the RIC20 and RHB20 units have no controls or display on them and are designed for remote operation.

The MIC20 Remote Terminal enables the user to configure and/or display live data from the RIC20 or RHB20 family of temperature control devices. Typically these devices are connected to and controlled by an external computer or PC by sending commands and processing responses over a serial RS232 line. The MIC20 enables the user to perform all of the operations that the external controller or PC could without using either.
